The current extension includes opt-in sponsor lines directly above both Claude Code's input and the official Codex composer. Install the .vsix directly, or drag it onto the Extensions view. Codex CLI integration is not included.

CLI / Claude Code

One-line installer for Waitline CLI 0.3.1. Works with Claude Code, plain terminals, and shell prompts, with automatic retries and a built-in health check.

Step 2 · Install

Drop it in. No account yet.

· VS Code / Cursor: open the Extensions view and drag the .vsix onto it, or run code --install-extension waitline-vscode.vsix.
· For Codex: install the official Codex VS Code extension, then run Waitline: Enable ads inside Codex from the Command Palette.
· CLI: run the install command above. It writes to ~/.waitline/, adds a launcher under ~/.local/bin, and updates your shell PATH if needed.
· No email, no password, no verification link at install time.

Step 3 · Pair with Google

One 8-character code, one Google sign-in.

After install, the client shows a code like ABCD-1234 and an Open Waitline button that lands you on /connect?code=…. Sign in with Google once and hit Connect and start earning. That's the whole setup.

Run waitline doctor at any time to verify the device, server, and website activity connection. Sponsor links use Cmd-click on macOS or Ctrl-click on Windows/Linux; waitline open opens the active link directly if a terminal does not support clickable links.

Step 4 · Earnings

Every accepted impression credits your balance.

· Direct share: 60% of accepted ad revenue.
· Referral share: 10% when someone who used your link earns from an accepted impression.
· Provisional balance moves to available after a 72-hour fraud-review window.
· Connected devices list on your dashboard with one-tap revoke.

· No code, prompt text, or AI response text is ever collected.
· Only token, surface, and on-screen duration are recorded.
· Only hashes of your device code and device token are stored.

Step 5 · Referrals

Share Waitline.

Every earner gets a permanent referral link in the dashboard. If a new earner claims your link before another one, you receive 10% of the accepted ad revenue generated by their qualifying impressions. Their own 60% share is unchanged.

· Attribution is first-claim-wins and cannot be moved between referrers.
· Referral earnings follow the same 72-hour review and reversal rules.
· Your earning share remains 60%. If you use your own referral code, the separate 10% referral commission is also credited to your account.
· Sharing your link publicly is allowed; fake devices or impressions are not.

Step 6 · Payout

Cash out from the dashboard.

· $5.00 USD minimum, operator-processed.
· Separate balances: provisional, available, processing, paid.
· Every movement posts to a double-entry ledger you can inspect on /ledger.
